Vacant mobile home destroyed in early-morning fire near Portageville

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Portageville Fire & Rescue responded early Saturday to assist with a structure fire in the Rainbow City area, according to the department.

Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 4:15 a.m. to County Road 307 for a mutual-aid call. Tanker 15 and Engine 1 responded, and crews arrived to find a vacant mobile home fully engulfed in flames.

Portageville firefighters worked alongside the Marston Fire Department to extinguish the blaze and maintain water supply operations. Crews cleared the scene shortly before 6 a.m.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been released.
