Vehicle stolen from Cape Girardeau found in IL after high-speed chase

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau police are investigating a stolen vehicle found in Alexander County, Ill.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, officers with Cape Girardeau police were looking into a possible stolen vehicle report which led to a high-speed chase that carried into Illinois.

Police say Cape Girardeau police had to stop chasing on Route 3 due to poor road conditions and traffic.

Alexander County Sheriff’s deputies took over the chase and found the vehicle in Alexander County unoccupied.

No one has been arrested.
