Versemann named next Chief Academic Officer for District #32

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Perry County School District 32 Board of Education has appointed Dr. Stacey Versemann as the district’s next chief academic officer.
Versemann, currently in her fourth year as assistant principal at Perry County Middle School, will assume the role July 1, 2026. She will succeed Jane Narrow, who is retiring at the end of the school year after three years as chief academic officer and 31 years as an administrator and teacher in the district.
“I am truly excited to step into the role of chief academic officer and to have the opportunity to work alongside our dedicated teachers and administrators,” Versemann said. “I look forward to strengthening collaboration, supporting instructional practices, and supporting student growth across buildings.”
Versemann began her education career as an early childhood special education teacher with Cape Girardeau Public Schools from 2010 to 2014. She returned to Perryville in 2014, serving as a special education teacher and process coordinator for early childhood from 2014 to 2019 and for grades 3–5 from 2019 to 2022, before accepting her current role at Perry County Middle School.
A 2005 Perryville High School graduate, Versemann earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri in 2009 and a master’s degree in education in 2010. She later earned a master’s degree in administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2018 and completed her doctorate in education at Southern Illinois University in 2024. She also holds secondary administration, elementary administration and special services director certifications from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
