Veteran motorcycle group transporting veterans remembrance wall to Marion, IL

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – The Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance is making a stop at Mountain Dew Park in Marion this Fourth of July weekend.

On Friday, June 30 a motorcycle group made of veterans will escort the Wall of Remembrance from Paducah to Marion for setup.

The traveling memorial is in memory of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks as well as the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives defending our country.

Setup for the wall will begin at 2 p.m. at the Mountain Dew Park.

The Wall will be on display at the ballpark throughout the Thrillville Thrillbillies’ 4-Day Star Spangled Celebration, and four game homestand, June 30-July 3.
