Veterans required to create new secure accounts

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — The Department of Veterans Affairs is transitioning to two secure sign-in options to enhance patient security.
Veterans using My HealtheVet or DS Logon will need to create a new account with (link unavailable) or ID.me by Jan. 31. These secure options will be implemented across all VA websites and apps, including My HealtheVet, (link unavailable) and the VA Health and Benefits mobile app.
To create an account, veterans can follow instructions at (link unavailable). They can also register directly at (link unavailable) or ID.me.
Both (link unavailable) and ID.me meet security standards, protecting patient data and allowing veterans to access and manage their benefits with a single sign-on.
For more information or support, veterans can visit (link unavailable). The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center team is also available to assist at 573-778-4180.
