Vets in the Arts hosts cookout, supports local veterans

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — Vets in the Arts will host a cookout at Black Diamond Harley-Davidson on Saturday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will feature free food, and donations will be accepted to support the organization’s mission of empowering veterans through creative expression.

The cookout will also promote the upcoming world premiere of “Standard Issue,” a musical written, performed and produced by Southern Illinois veterans. The production will be staged at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center from June 6-8.
