Vienna High School launches alternative learning program

VIENNA, Ill., (KBSI) — Vienna High School District #13-3 has partnered with the Regional Office of Education #21 to launch the Alternative Learning Opportunities Program (ALOP) for 4th-8th grade students.

The program provides personalized support for students facing academic, attendance, behavioral and social-emotional challenges. A full-time student advocate from ROE #21 is embedded at Vienna High School to work with students, families and staff.

Program benefits include:

— Individualized support
— Attendance and academic progress monitoring
— Essential skill-building through goal setting
— Targeted interventions for behavioral and social-emotional needs
— Assistance accessing school and community resources

Students can be referred to the program by school staff, parents or guardians. Parental consent is required for participation.
