Virtual conference to address adolescent substance use, prevention

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., (KBSI) — Healthcare providers are invited to attend a virtual conference on adolescent health, substance use and prevention on May 9.

The “Adolescent Health Substance Use & Prevention” Virtual Mini Conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is hosted by the Southern 7 Health Department and the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The conference aims to address high-risk substance use among youth, with topics including trends in adolescent substance use, screening and treatment options, and community resources.
