Visit Cape staff to join the Parks and Recreations Department
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce sent a letter to members on May 10, stating that the contract with the Convention and Visitors Bureau/Visit Cape offices would end in June.
After careful consideration it’s been determined that the Visit Cape will move offices and staff will now be ran under the Parks and Recreations Department as part of the city.
The letter states the city will be saving around $75,000 a year in rent by moving to the new location.
The current agreement ends on June 30, 2024.
