Walking tour to highlight SEMO Architecture across the ages

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Historic Preservation Commission is hosting a walking tour Wednesday, May 1 in one of Cape Girardeau’s historic districts.
The walking tour “Architecture Across the Ages” begins at 5:30 p.m. It starts outside the University Center (corner of Henderson and Normal) with a proclamation from Cape Girardeau Mayor Stacy Kinder for Historic Preservation Month.
Dr. Hoffman and the commission will lead a walk around the south side of campus, highlighting the architectural styles, timeline and related information.
The event will conclude at the former Honors House with a reception at the new Rockwood Inn. Those on the tour will see the building in its final phase of renovation.
