Wanted man captured, held without bond in Marshall County Jail

CADIZ, Ky., (KBSI) — Claude E. Russell, 48, has been arrested and is being held without bond at the Marshall County Jail on a murder charge.

Russell, of Cadiz, was indicted by the Marshall County Grand Jury on April 17, 2025, in connection with the slaying of Lia Thompson.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 detectives had been searching for Russell, who is described as a 6-foot-tall, 190-pound black male.
