Wanted Washington man arrested in Saline County with drugs, firearms

SALINE COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — A wanted man from Washington state was arrested early Thursday in Saline County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputy Brayden Johnson located John D. Wurdemann, of Tonasket, Washington, in a rural area east of Harrisburg after receiving information about his whereabouts.
Authorities said Harrisburg police assisted in the arrest, and Wurdemann was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators reported finding about a quarter pound of methamphetamine, several pounds of marijuana and multiple illegal firearms in his possession.
An FBI task force officer is assisting with the investigation, and officials said a federal indictment is expected.
The investigation remains ongoing. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
