Warm & Windy Monday-Stormy Tuesday

Monday afternoon will be a warm & windy one! Temperatures reaching the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies with a gusty SW wind 15-20 mph, gusts near 25-35 mph.

SW winds will gust to near 25-35 mph this afternoon and evening. This will be just ahead of our next cold front Tuesday afternoon.

Rain chances really increase early Tuesday morning. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will begin across SE Missouri near 4am Tuesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will persist through the afternoon. Strong to severe storms will develop near 4pm Tuesday afternoon and evening with an eastward track through 11pm.

Some strong to severe storms will be possible Tuesday afternoon and evening. Main hazards will be small hail, gusty winds and a brief tornado potential farther south.

Rainfall potential through Wednesday morning looks pretty decent! Much of the viewing area will likely see 1.50″-2.00″+. This will lead to some localized flooding, especially along water basins.
