CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Authorities are investigating an alleged violation of sex offender registration requirements involving Adam Michael Mock, according to law enforcement records.

Officials said they were notified Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, that Mock may have violated Missouri law by failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. A review of registration records shows Mock was convicted of simple rape on Dec. 9, 2013, in Alexandria, Louisiana. The victim was a 13-year-old girl.

Based on that conviction, Mock is classified as a Tier 3 sex offender and is required to update his registration every three months. He is also required to notify the sheriff’s office within three days of any changes to his information, including his address.

Records indicate Mock last registered on July 24, 2025, listing an address in Missouri. Authorities said Mock has a prior conviction for failure to register as a sex offender in Grant County.

Investigators contacted a treatment facility, which reported Mock completed its program and was discharged on Sept. 26, 2025. Officials said it was believed Mock may have returned to his mother’s residence in Louisiana following his discharge. As of the most recent review, authorities said Mock has not notified the sheriff’s office of an address change and has not registered at a new location in Missouri or Louisiana.

A warrant has been issued for Mock, with a bond set at $10,000 cash or surety. The warrant was signed by Amy K. Trueblood. Conditions of the warrant state that Mock is not to possess any firearms or other deadly weapons and is not to possess alcohol or any controlled substances unless prescribed.

The investigation remains ongoing.
