Water damage limits event space at Kellerman Foundation

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Water damage affecting five offices has temporarily limited event space at the Kellerman Foundation for Historic Preservation, according to a foundation social media post.

Items from the offices remain in the first-floor hallway while renovations are pending. The foundation said events will not be held in the east end of the building for some time.

The west end is back in order, including the art gallery, entrance and public space. Air conditioning and ceiling tiles have been repaired, and furniture repairs are underway.

Only the west doors will be open during public events while work continues elsewhere in the building.

The foundation said it serves as a rain location for Tunes at Twilight. It also announced plans for an art gallery exhibit in October, asking visitors to save Oct. 12. Additional details will be released later.
