Water line break causes outages, boil order in West Frankfort

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill., (KBSI) — A water line break in West Frankfort has left some customers without water service while repairs are underway, according to the Mayor’s Office.

Officials said customers in the affected area from Orient Road to Rose Lane and from Illinois Route 149 to Carr Road will remain without water during repairs.

Once service is restored, those customers will be placed under a boil order until further notice.

City officials also said some customers in the Pershing area experienced low water pressure earlier but have since had normal pressure restored. Those customers are not affected by the water line break and will not be under a boil order.
