WCES places employee on leave after arrest, says no threat to students

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) — Williamson County Education Services said an employee has been placed on administrative leave following an arrest announced by law enforcement.
WCES officials said they became aware of the situation April 22 when it was made public by authorities. The agency said it is responding to the matter but is limited in what information can be released due to personnel policies.
Officials said steps have been taken to maintain a safe environment for students and staff as the investigation continues.
WCES also thanked the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office for its response.
