Weekend collisions result in injuries, charges filed
GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Two separate collisions over the weekend resulted in injuries and DUI charges for two local residents.
On Friday, May 9, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle injury collision on KY 1890 (Sharon Church Road) south of Mayfield.
Mary E. Stephenson, 54, of the Pilot Oak area, was traveling westbound on KY 1890 when she dropped off the side of the roadway, striking a ditch and several culverts before coming to rest in a yard. Stephenson was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries and was later released and arrested for DUI 1st Offense and other traffic charges.
On May 11, 2025, at approximately 5:59 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of KY-97 and Dr. Melvin Road, south of Sedalia.
Frederick Glover, 63, of Mayfield, was traveling northbound on KY-97 operating a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he exited the roadway and traveled through an embankment. Glover was transported to Murray/Calloway County Hospital and cited into Graves District Court for DUI 2nd Offense and traffic offenses.
The investigations were conducted by Sgt. Richard Edwards and Deputy Austin Caldwell, with assistance from Mayfield/Graves County EMS, Mayfield/Graves County Fire and Rescue Squad, and the Sedalia Fire Department.
