Western Kentucky road closures due to flooding

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Some roads in western Kentucky have reopened after this weekend’s flooding, but others remain closed due to high water. Crews are working to clear flood-related debris.

After Tuesday night’s below-zero temperatures, some flooded roads have frozen over with icy patches. Motorists are advised to exercise caution.

The following state routes in District 1 are affected by high water:

CARLISLE COUNTY
KY 1820: Closed between the 1–3-mile markers due to high water near Wilson Creek.
KY 1628: Closed between the 3–4-mile markers due to high water near Wilson Creek.
KY 1591: Closed at the 1.5-mile marker due to a sinkhole caused by flooding.

CRITTENDEN COUNTY
KY 1917: Closed between the 1-1.5-mile markers due to high water.

HICKMAN COUNTY
KY 123: Closed between the 14–16-mile markers in the Hailwell Corner area due to high water.
KY 3061: Closed from the 0-2.366-mile markers due to a slide at cross drain.

LIVINGSTON COUNTY
KY 917/Tucker Temple Road: Closed with high water from the 6.8-7.3-mile markers.

LYON COUNTY
KY 819: Closed with high water between the 2-3 mile markers.

MARSHALL COUNTY
KY 58: Closed at the 1.3-mile marker due to pavement undermined by flooding.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY
KY 1255/Bonds Road: Closed with high water between the 0.0-mile marker and the 2.3-mile marker.
KY 1255/Bonds Road: Closed with high water at the intersection with KY 450/Oaks.
KY 787: Closed with high water from the 0-1.7-mile markers.
KY 131: Open from the 0.0-mile marker to the 2.1-mile marker.

TRIGG COUNTY
KY 1507/Barefield Road: Closed with high water at the 1.0-mile marker.
