Williamson County authorities investigate two unrelated deaths

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Authorities are investigating two unrelated deaths that occurred on Aug. 5.

The first incident occurred in Johnston City, where a 44-year-old man was found dead in the 1500 block of Pine Avenue. A person of interest is being interviewed.

In a separate incident, a 51-year-old woman was found dead in Carrier Mills in the 12000 block of Brushy Creek Road. A person of interest is also being questioned.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigations, with assistance from the Illinois State Police Crime Scene unit.

There is no ongoing threat to public safety. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of family.
