Williamson County Sheriff’s Office makes arrest in battery case

PITTSBURG, Ill., (KBSI) — A man has been arrested in connection with an altercation that left a 14-year-old with visible injuries.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a man striking a juvenile in the 200 block of North Dudley Street on April 20.

Witnesses and video footage alleged that Frank Walker became hostile and confronted the juvenile and his cousin, striking the 14-year-old in the face, pulling him to the ground and choking him.

Walker was arrested for aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, and taken to the Williamson County Jail.
