Wilson Elementary celebrates National First Responders Day with inaugural Pumpkin Drop

GRANITE CITY, Ill., (KBSI) – Wilson Elementary School celebrated National First Responders Day on Tuesday with its inaugural Pumpkin Drop event.

Students and staff gathered to cheer as pumpkins were dropped from more than 50 feet in the air, creating an exciting and memorable experience for the entire school community.

The event honored local first responders, who joined students and staff for the celebration.

“Thank you to our incredible first responders for your service and for spending the day with the Wolf Pack,” school officials said in a statement.
