CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Mercy Health Foundation Southeast will host its annual Wine and Chocolate Pairing later this month to support heart care initiatives and local nonprofit organizations.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 20, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Country Club, located at 250 Country Club Drive. Attendees will enjoy house-made chocolate and wine pairings, hors d’oeuvres, live music and a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit the foundation’s HeartStrong Fund and support the purchase of automated external defibrillators for local nonprofit organizations.
“In a cardiac arrest, every second counts, and having an AED readily available can make a critical difference in survival and recovery,” said Shelby Bentley, senior development officer at Mercy Health Foundation Southeast.
The HeartStrong Fund also supports advanced cardiovascular services and technology for patients in Southeast Missouri. In addition, the fund provides equipment such as scales and pedometers to help monitor treatment during cardiac rehabilitation for patients with congestive heart failure.
Tickets are $50 each, and corporate sponsorships are available. More information or tickets can be purchased at Southeast Wine and Chocolate Pairing 2026 – Campaign or by calling Mercy Health Foundation Southeast at 573-519-4921.
