Woman arrested for failing to report to Williamson County Jail
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. — Authorities have apprehended a woman who failed to report to jail to serve her sentence.
Jashayla L. Lacy, a convicted felon, was taken into custody on Jan. 10, 2025, after deputies received tips and gathered intelligence on her whereabouts.
Lacy had been sentenced to serve 15 consecutive weekends in the Williamson County Jail, beginning Nov. 29, 2024, as part of a plea agreement.
She was charged with one count of escape, a violation of Illinois Revised Statute 720 ILCS 5/31-6. The offense carries a possible sentence of up to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Williamson County Sheriff Jeff Diederich reminded those who violate court orders that his office will enforce these orders and hold violators accountable.
