Woman charged in Cape Girardeau shooting incident

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — A 31-year-old woman has been charged with domestic assault and armed criminal action after a shooting incident in Cape Girardeau.

Police responded to a shots-fired call on Morgan Oak Street on Dec. 26, where they found a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Shaquya Craddock was arrested and charged with Class A felony domestic assault and armed criminal action.

She is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.

Authorities say the victim and Craddock were in an intimate relationship and had a previous verbal argument.

A firearm and additional evidence were recovered during the investigation.

Craddock is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
