Woman charged with prostitution in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A woman faces a prostitution charge after she was arrested at a Paducah hotel.

McCracken County sheriff’s deputies arrested Karla D. Hessler, 40, of Ledbetter on March 8.

In the recent past, the sheriff’s office was made aware of a website being used to post prostitution ads.

On March 8 a sheriff’s detective, acting in an undercover capacity, contacted a woman who had posted a prostitution ad on the site. The woman sent the detective a photo and a price list for sexual services, according the sheriff’s deputies.

The woman directed the detective to a hotel located at 5006 Hinkleville Road in Paducah.

Detectives found the Hessler a short time later and arrested her for prostitution.

Detectives obtained and executed a search warrant for Hessler’s hotel room. They found small quantities of cocaine, marijuana and Xanax.

Hessler was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Detectives say additional charge are pending.
