Woman cited, taken to hospital after crashing car into Marion, IL school

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – A Marion woman was taken to a hospital and cited for traffic violations after crashing into a school in Marion late Thursday night.
Tiffany P. Meller, 20, of Marion was issued citations for underage consumption of alcohol by a minor, zero tolerance, failure to reduce spped to avoid an accident, deregard of a traffic control device, no valid license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Marion police responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into Jefferson School around 11:05 p.m. on May 4.
Officer found a white Dodge Charger crashed into the southside of the school and sitting inside the library.
No one was in the school when the crash happened.
Meller was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation continues.
