Woman facing charges after witnesses say she pulled handgun in store

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A woman faces charges after the Graves County sheriff says she threw items in a store and pulled out a handgun.

Christina K. Hammer, 46, of Marshall County was arrested about 7:50 p.m. on Monday, April 22 at her home in connection to an incident that happened earlier that afternoon at the Dollar General Store on Hwy. 131 just north of Hwy. 58.

Witnesses reported the suspect threw items in the store and became upset at the register, according to Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden.

Witnesses also said Hammer pulled a handgun.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies assisted Graves County Sheriff’s deputies in finding the suspect at her home.

Hammer was taken to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office and later transferred to an out of county detention center.

She faces charges of wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
