Woman facing multiple drug charges after traffic stop in New Concord

NEW CONCORD, Ky. (KBSI) – A woman faces several drug charges in Calloway County after a traffic stop.

Joleana D. Allender, 47, of Murray faces charges of possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense-methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st off-drug unspecified, possession of controlled substance 3rd degree-drug unspecified, possession of drug paraphernalia and giving officer false identifying information.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on Cypress Trail in New Concord around 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 15.

The driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and pills that she said she did not have a prescription for, according to sheriff’s deputies.

The pills bore the markings for Fentanyl and Alprazolam.

Allender also had active arrest warrants after giving them a false name, according to deputies.

The warrants were issued by Larue County for contempt of court after she pleaded guilty to trafficking methamphetamine greater than two grams in 2019 and was on probation.

Allender was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
