Woodland R-IV School District names Byassee as next Superintendent
WOODLAND, Mo., (KBSI) — The Woodland R-IV School District has named Cole Byassee as its next superintendent, effective July 2025.
Byassee, currently the acting superintendent of the Crawford County R-1 School District in Bourbon, Missouri, will work alongside current Superintendent Adrian Eftink until Eftink’s retirement in December 2025.
Byassee brings 19 years of experience in education to the role. He says his goal is to build on the district’s successes while addressing challenges and promoting student achievement.
The Woodland R-IV Board of Education praised Byassee’s values and experience, saying he will benefit the district and community.
Byassee began his career as a middle school and high school science teacher and has since held various leadership roles. He emphasizes the importance of a student-first mentality and is passionate about ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.
Byassee and his wife, Kristin, have three children and one grandson. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoors and fishing.
