Zeigler man sentenced to 112 years for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child

BENTON, Ill. (KBSI) – A Zeigler man was sentenced to 112 years behind bars for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
Allen M. Farris, 33, of Zeigler was sentenced on March 15.
A hearing was held at the Franklin County Courthouse. Several members of the victim’s family and law enforcement were present. Franklin County State’s Attorney Abby Dinn argued for the maximum sentence possible of 120 years.
Honorable Judge Thomas Tedeschie sentenced Farris to separate 28-year sentences on each of the four separate counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
The sentences to to be served consecutively meaning Farris will serve each count in its entirety before beginning the sentence on the next count.
The sentence will be followed by parole for three years to life.
Illinois State Police and the Department of Children and Family Services investigated the case. Franklin County State’s Attorney Abby Dinn prosecuted the case.
