Zonta club of Cape Girardeau launches 16 days of activism

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau is joining the global movement in raising awareness and taking action to end violence against women.
This year’s 16 Days of Activism, under the banner “Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women,” runs from November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, through December 10th, Human Rights Day.
Zonta will host events and share resources to spread education and highlight ways the community can work together against violence against women.
The initiative expresses the importance of advocacy, collaboration, and action in creating a world where no woman lives in fear of violence.
“Violence against women is a global epidemic that requires urgent attention. The 16 Days of Activism give us an opportunity to engage with the community and advocate for meaningful change,” said Alix Gasser, Advocacy Chair for the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau. “Through this campaign, we aim to shed light on the
realities of gender-based violence and inspire collective action to address its root causes.”
