Cool temperatures heading into the weekend
The next few days are going to be transition days. We’ll be a little below average for highs Friday and Saturday, but warming up to around 50 by Sunday. Not much in the way of precipitation for a while!
Rainfall totals (above) are pretty significant. 2-3.5″ of rain fell from NE Arkansas, through SE Missouri, western Kentucky, and into southern Illinois.
Most of Friday will be dry with mostly cloudy skies, but a sprinkle or two will be possible on and off. Especially the further south you go. Temperatures will be a few degrees below average for the high.
Most of us will be in the 40s for highs on Friday with a light north to northwest breeze. It’ll be a little warmer the further south you go.
Dry for the next several days, but there is a chance for showers on Valentine’s Day and then storms will be possible Wednesday into Thursday. Highs will be in the 50s and possibly the 60s by next week!
