Much warmer, humid for the weekend
Temperatures have remained near average for the past couple days, however, that will change on Saturday with high temperatures reaching the low 90s.
Forecast highs across the region show temperatures in the low to mid 90s with winds will be out of the southwest.
Dewpoints are expected to be in the lower 70s, which will leave a sticky feeling in the air for any outdoor weekend plans.
The mixture of above average temperatures and higher dewpoints will put the heat index up into the triple digits for most of the area. Be sure to stay hydrated and have a plan to take a break from the heat if you plan on being outside for an extended period of time.
There is still a chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm on Saturday evening before high temperatures jump up into the mid 90s on Sunday. Temperatures remain hot and humid to start the work week with forecast dewpoints in the upper 70s! A cold front is expected to move in on Wednesday, bringing us much cooler temperatures and chances for rain throughout the rest of next week.
