Muggy for fireworks, overnight storms
There is a chance for severe weather during the overnight hours tonight to our west. The Storm Prediction Center has most of SW Missouri in a level 1 Marginal Risk for severe storms. By the time they make it into our area, the threat will have diminished.
The region has seen several bands of showers over the past couple days. We are under a flash flood watch until early Friday morning, continue to be weather aware as you make your way home from any holiday gatherings.
Forecast low temperatures tonight will be slightly above average in the low to mid 70s across the region.
High temperatures for Friday will be right around average with dewpoints scaling back into the upper 60s.
We should see more comfortable conditions this weekend, be sure to get outside and enjoy the nice weather while we have it! The start of next week brings temperatures in the mid to upper 80s and rain chances for the rest of the forecast.
