Near average for Friday, PM storm chance
After a small chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight, we see near average high temperatures to close out the work week. Temperatures are forecasted to reach the lower 90s tomorrow with a light wind out of the southwest.
Highs for the entire region will be close to average as well. A few areas could reach the mid 90s, but expect temperatures mainly in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
Dewpoints begin to creep up before the start of the weekend, sitting in the lower to mid 70s on Friday.
Dewpoints will stay in the mid 70s through the weekend before we start next week with very humid conditions. Current model runs show dewpoints in the upper 70s to start next week, which could push the heat index near 105 degrees.
There is a evening chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday before the humidity begins to take hold on Saturday. Temperatures for the weekend and into the early part of next week are expected in the mid to upper 90s. Storm chances return on Wednesday and Thursday which should help cool us off after a very hot and humid start to the work week.
