Summer-like temperatures are in the forecast for the close of the work week in the Heartland. We get off to a sunny start, with the chance for a shower or thunderstorm by Friday afternoon.

StormCast shows the potential for a brief sprinkle overnight ahead of better chances for showers and possibly a storm or two on Friday evening into Saturday morning.

Warmer weather sticks around through the weekend with another chance of storms late Monday through the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will finally return to the 70s towards the end of next week.
