Upgrade to severe potential Friday – April 4, 2025

The Storm Prediction Center Friday morning has upgraded more of southeast Missouri to either an Enhanced or Moderate risk (Level 3 or Level 4) for severe weather.

The Level 3 (orange) meaning numerous severe storms possible, if not widespread storms likely especially for those in red (above) from Poplar Bluff back through Arkansas.

All severe weather threats will be possible, including large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes, especially in southeast Missouri.

The black hash marks below mean a 10-29 percent chance for an EF-2 or higher tornado is possible within 25 miles of a point.

Hail up to 2″ or larger is possible for those in the black hash marks below, extending east into western Kentucky.

Some gusty winds may come through with these storms as well.
