Multi-Agency Resource Center opens in Bollinger County

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – County, nonprofit and other groups continue to plan recovery efforts after the deadly tornado that tore through Glenallen and killed five people on April 5.
A Multi-Agency Resource Center will open at the Bollinger County Health Center Safe Room on Wednesday, April 12 from 1-7 p.m. and Thursday, April 13 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Those impacted by the recent tornado are asked to bring proof of address and a picture ID. Meals will be provided.
Bollinger County Sheriff Casey A. Graham says officials met at the Bollinger County Health Department on Tuesday, April 11 to discuss the continued recovery plan for the areas in Bollinger County affected by last week’s tornado.
Those at the meeting included officials from the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office, the Bollinger County Health Department, the American Red Cross, the East Missouri Action Agency, the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency, the Bollinger County Emergency Management Director, and others who have offered assistance during this time of need.
Officials discussed the locations where assistance and resources are still needed throughout Bollinger County.
Anyone still in need of assistance anywhere in Bollinger County is urged to call the Community Health Worker at the Bollinger County Health Department at (573)238-2817. This can include but is not limited to clean up services, clothing, food and gas vouchers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, bedding, etc.
The Patton Lions Club established a supplies warehouse at the Heartland Industries warehouse located on Missouri Highway 34 West beside Crader’s Distributing (Stihl).
Equipment Share remains in Glenallen at the intersection of Creek Street and Old Glen Allen Road in front of the Post Office where they will be distributing free lunch and free dinner.
Missouri Southern Baptist and the East Missouri Action Agency are established at the intersection of Missouri Highway 34 West and Old Glenallen Road where they are continuing their services to anyone in need.
Crews of volunteers from Lowes will be available throughout Bollinger County to help with recovery and clean up, as well as volunteers from Crader’s Distributing out of Marble Hill.
Sheriff’s deputies and the sheriff will deliver meals provided by Equipment Share to anyone who cannot come to their site to pick it up.
If anyone needs any other items or supplies delivered, Bollinger County Sheriff’s deputies and the sheriff will deliver what is needed.
