2 face drug charges after traffic stop in West Paducah

WEST PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Two men face drug charges after a traffic stop in West Paducah.
A deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the West Paducah area around 9:30 p.m. on Friday.
Charles Marvin Day, 54, of West Paducah was the driver. Joseph R. Powell, 47, of Paducah was a passenger.
During the investigation, it was determined that both Powell and Day were in possession of illegal narcotics, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Charles Marvin Day, 54, of West Paducah faces charges of no registration receipt, no registration plates, rear license not illuminated, possession of controlled substance 1st-degree 1st offense methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle under influence 1st and failure to produce insurance card.
Joseph R. Powell, 47, of Paducah faces charges of possession of controlled substance 1st-degree 1st offense methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Both Powell and Day were arrested and taken to the McCracken Regional Jail.
