Randolph County Sheriff’s Office warns of bear sighting

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a bear sighting on Saturday, June 3.
The sheriff’s office was notified of a possible bear sighting two miles south of Evansville, Ill.
After investigating, it was determined it was a valid report.
The sheriff’s office encourages the public to not approach the bear. Keep your distance and allow it to move on.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is aware of the sighting.
