Farley couple facing gun, drug charges after detectives seize meth, moonshine, firearms

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Farley couple face numerous drug and gun charges after detectives seized methamphetamine, steroids, firearms and moonshine.

Dusty Rodgers, 42, of McCracken County faces charges of firearm enhanced trafficking in methamphetamine 2nd or subsequent offense, firearm enhanced trafficking in anabolic steroids, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and 2nd degree wanton endangerment.

Kristin Rodgers, 32, of Happy Hollow Drive in McCracken County faces charges of firearm-enhanced possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and 2nd-degree wanton endangerment.

Detectives conducted a drug investigation on June 26 that led them to a storage unit on Wayne Sullivan Drive in Paducah rented to Dusty Rodgers.

During the search warrant service detectives found crystal methamphetamine, a moonshine still, moonshine, assorted drug paraphernalia and other drug-related evidence.

Detectives also obtained a search warrant for Rodger’s home in the 2000 block of Happy Hollow Drive in McCracken County. The search warrant was executed that same day. Dusty and Kristin Rodgers were home at the time the search warrant was executed.

Detectives found and seized more than a pound of crystal methamphetamine packaged for sale, numerous anabolic steroids, several firearms, a large amount of ammunition, and assorted drug paraphernalia during a search of the home and the vehicles on the property.

Some of the illegal items found inside the home were in areas easily accessible to a child that lives in the home.

Dusty Rodgers is a convicted felon and unable to lawfully possess firearms or ammunition. Rodgers also has a prior felony drug trafficking conviction that enhances these offenses.

Both Dusty and Kristin Rodgers were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The investigation continues.
