Unclaimed property auction to be Sept. 27-28 in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The annual unclaimed property auction for the state of Missouri will be Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28 in Cape Girardeau.

It will be at the Cape Girardeau Convention Center in the Drury Plaza Hotel. The auction begins at 9 a.m. each day.

Those interested to view the items to be auctioned can attend a previewing on Tuesday, September 26 from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 27 from 8-9 a.m. and Thursday, September 28 from 8-9 a.m.

Missouri Treasurer Vivek Malek will give opening remarks at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Sabrina Winters will have more about what kind of property will be auctioned.

Stamps, tableware, clocks, baseball cards, jewelry, watches, coins and more are among the items to be auctioned.
