1 arrested after crash in Graves County

(KBSI) – A Symsonia man faces charges after a crash Saturday night in Graves County.

Jay Heath, 42, faces charges of DUI 1st aggravated circumstance, wanton endangerment 1st degree and traffic offenses.

On November 18, 2023 at approximately 8:47 PM,

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an injury crash on KY-348 West in Symsonia.

Deputies say Heath was driving eastbound on KY-348 when a deer entered his lane of travel. He tried to avoid the deer and the vehicle he was driving went off the side of the road to the left and overturned.

A juvenile in the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.

Deputies determined Heath was under the influence of alcoholic beverage at the time of the crash and was arrested.

Heath was not injured.
