Paducah man facing burglary, other charges after disturbance in Grand Rivers

GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces attempted burglary and other charges in Grand Rivers.
Jason M. Holleman, 43, faces charges of attempted burglary 3rd, criminal mischief 2nd and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Livingston County Sheriff’s units were dispatched to 709 Complex Drive in Grand Rivers on December 1 at 3:48 a.m. due to a glass break alarm that was activated at the Exit 31 Minit Mart.
At the same time, a disturbance call was received at Livingston County dispatch from the night attendant at Motel 6 at 720 Complex Drive.
Sheriff units noticed the rear glass customer door of the Minit Mart had been broken. One single bullet hole was located at the bottom of a display shelf just inside the door. A spent 9 MM casing was found outside the building with other evidence.
Investigating units got video from the Minit Mart’s CCTV, providing clear video of an unknown suspect in a maroon minivan with a Kentucky license plate.
The unknown male approached the rear glass door of the Minit Mart with a handgun drawn, kicked at the door, then fired one round in the direction of the door striking the glass, according to the sheriff of Livingston County.
He returned to his vehicle and drove to Motel 6 in the rear of Minit Mart where a second disturbance occurred.
Livingston County Sheriff’s units identified the person as Jason M. Holleman.
No one was reportedly injured during either disturbance.
Holleman was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office where he was taken into custody for a third incident. He faces charges in McCracken, Livingston, and Christian counties.
