Kennett man found guilty of drug delivery, endangering children

KENNETT, Mo. (KBSI) – A Kennett man was found guilty drug delivery and endangering children.
Joshua Edward Donald Webb, 42, was found guilty of delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree.
Dunklin County Prosecutor Nicholas Jain presented evidence that the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force, assisted by the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway
Patrol and Kennett Police Department, executed a search warrant on June 22, 2019 at 501 Sagebrush Lane in Kennett.
Officers found a 20-gram bag of methamphetamine, a bag of methamphetamine with a small amount of methamphetamine in it, a set of scales with suspected drug residue and small baggies often used to package drugs for sale.
Joshua Webb was arrested for possessing the drugs with the intent to distribute them and for endangering the welfare of a child. Two children lived in the home where he possessed the drugs, according to Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Nicholas Jain.
The jury deliberated for less than an hour before finding Webb guilty.
Webb is a prior and persistent offender. He faces 5-15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the drug delivery and 3-10 years in prison for each of the endangering the welfare of a child counts.
Webb has a 2006 Dunklin County property damage conviction, a 2010 federal counterfeiting conviction, a 2013 Dunklin County burglary conviction, a 2014 City of St. Louis possession of a controlled substance conviction, a 2017 Jefferson County stealing conviction, and a 2017 Dunklin County possession of a controlled substance conviction.
Judge Robert Mayer set a formal sentencing for February 28, 2024 following a sentencing assessment report by the Board of Probation and Parole.
