Mercy Hospital Southeast names new Chief Medical Officer

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Mercy Hospital Southeast appoints a new chief Medical Officer.
Doctor Naresh Agarwal joins Mercy with an extensive background in health care leadership, including serving as the Associate Chief Medical Officer of primary care with Intermountain Healthcare in Utah.
“Dr. Agarwal comes to Mercy Southeast with a strong history of frontline leadership development and a commitment to furthering quality, affordable health care for those we are privileged to serve,” said Ryan Geib, Mercy Southeast president. “As a Mercy leader, Dr. Agarwal will be an advocate for physician and advanced practice providers across our community and help lead us to a healthier, more connected future.”
Dr. Agarwal’s plans to continue to build a well-rounded team of physicians and advanced practice providers who are committed to providing exceptional care.

Dr. Agarwal earned his bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery and a medical degree in internal medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India.
He also holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
