Public asked to take survey about McCracken County Public Library

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – McCracken County Public Library workers want to hear from the public as they evaluate how they’re currently serving the community and then plan for the future.

Over the past five years, the library added several new resources to the lineup including:
- A partnership with the Dolly Parton Imagination Foundation, providing free books to children ages 0-5 in McCracken County
- Brary Bus Bookmobile with on-board Wi-Fi
- Free notary services
- Free faxing and scanning
- A new multi-media room with computers and an 80-inch screen for computer classes, presentations, and community events
- Community Resource Kiosk through Family Scholar House and CFSB, available in-person and online 24/7
- Monthly Community Resource Fairs that connect patrons to resources
- “Always Collecting” Program that collects needed items for local organizations every month
- An updated children’s area with new educational toys and materials
- Free streaming movies through Kanopy, available 24/7
- Fishing pole and Disc golf checkouts
- Curbside pickup
The pandemic changed the way the library serves the public.
Library workers want to continue offering timeless assistance with books, computers and movies while pursuing timely assistance through emerging trends, technologies and community partnerships.
The survey is entirely confidential. Paper copies are available in the library for those who prefer a paper experience.
The survey will close after Friday, April 5.
