Power restored to Perry, Cape Girardeau counties

CAPE GIRARDEAU & PERRY COUNTIES, Mo. (KBSI) – Citizens Electric Coop reports power has been restored in Perry County and most of Cape Girardeau County.

More than 7,000 outages were reported Thursday morning in Cape Girardeau and Perry counties.

As of 4:45 p.m. no outages were reported by Citizens Electric.

As of 12:15 p.m., Citizens Electric reported 462 outages in Cape Girardeau County and no outages in Perry County.

At 10:57 a.m., the Citizens Electric Coop reports 5,255 outages in Cape Girardeau County and 2,148 outages in Perry County.

Assigned crews identified a transmission issue in Cape Girardeau County. Repairs and switching are in progress.
