Woman facing charge in connection with deadly Cape Girardeau shooting denied bond reduction

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – A judge denied bond for woman who faces a tampering with physical evidence in felony prosecution charge.

Yaunique Cain was in court on March 18. She is charged in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl and the injury of a 53-year-old man in a shooting that happened on Tuesday, February 27.

The judge denied a bond reduction.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 16.

Cain is charged with Class E felony of tampering with physical evidence.
